This week’s item on the list is annual Oliver’s Music in the Park! The first concert starts this Thursday July 5 from 6:30-8 pm down at the old Oliver’s Visitor Center. If you’re not quite sure where this is, another description is east side of the old CPR station, which faces the river. From the sounds of it this is past goer’s favourite spot enjoy the beat, so why not stick with it right?
Your probably wondering which band is playing tonight, right? Drum roll please.... KETTLE VALLEY BRAKEMEN! This a great band composed of 3 men and a lady, serenading us with great tunes of railway songs. When was the last time you heard this kind of music?
To check out there music for a sneak peek of what to come check out there website http://www.kvbrakemen.com/ . There are some live videos, info on next performances and plenty more.
Admission is by donation but let’s not mistake it for a free event. The only way for these concerts to keep going is to provide a donation each time you attend. It doesn’t have to be a substantial amount but anything helps, so be a helper and help make these concerts keep going.
The sponsor for this fantastic event is the Oliver Community Arts Council, so let’s gives them a big shout out and thanks for making this event happen! Without there work we wouldn’t have such great nights to enjoy.
