Me bailing after a good run down the hill :)
This week on 52 Things To Do In The South Okanagan is an
easy one, TOBOGANNING!!!
The snow has finally decide to show its little head, which means it is time to pull out your snow pants, boots , toques and gloves, dust off those amazing toboggans and jump in the car. This is one of the most fun, least expensive and great for all ages things you can do. Your kids will love it and of course adults too. Who doesn’t like to tap into their inner child once in a while and heck if you haven’t gone in years why not make this the little motivation to give it a try once more!
However since it is really early in the snow season and we are living in the South Okanagan you can’t whip down to the hospital hill and slid down just yet which means.... It’s up to Mt. Baldy we go! The roads are groomed and it is an easy road trip up as it only takes about half an hour to 45 minutes to reach the mountain. Also if you don’t want to head straight up to the hill about half way is a mini toboggan hill which alot of families take there children. There is a mini fire pit if you would like to roast some marshmallows or hot dogs and I would suggest bringing some hot chocolate, hot cider or something warm to drink, it can get chilly.
Now let’s not forget about snow angels and snowball fights. So while you are frolicking in the snow why not start a snow fight and see where it goes lol...
Now remember all you need is:
- Boots
- Snow pants & jacket
- Gloves
- Toque
- Toboggan
Dress warm and don’t forget HAVE FUN!
I will be out there tonight, making some fresh tracks in the snow.. Hope to see you out there
Until next time
