This on 52 Things to Do in the South Okanagan I have decided to stay right here in Oliver. Many of you may not know but our great local coffee house Medici’s and the Firehall Brewary have live bands. May 18th Medici’s featured Dominique Fricot Ciseaux and it was a smashing hit. The artists were a young man and woman bringing a unbelievable combination of rock, soul, folk and jazz, not to mention music from the 60’s! The music was fantastic, the atmosphere was even better and there was great wine and food to boot.
Tickets to see these events are generally $20 or less and you get to enjoy a night out!
Now I cannot forget the Firehall Brewery and there upcoming Back Ally Concert Series. There are four glorious summer nights of local music starting on June 9th staring “Forever Young”, a Neil Young tribute band. Tickets are very economical at only$10 + HST and are available at the Firehall Bistro (6077 Main Street, Oliver). However if you are unable to purchase them early you can get tickets at the gate. Concert starts at 7pm-9 pm.
There will be beer available, brewed from the in house brewery the Firehall Brewary.
